Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Stage picked items for packing or further processing.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent picking procedures.
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote safety.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity goals for order picking.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items to supervision immediately.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve operational objectives.
- Understand and support the overall logistics and distribution process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, throughout the shift.
- Proficiency in lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong comprehension skills for reading and interpreting pick orders.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE correctly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
