We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your duties will include verifying orders, packaging items securely, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations and may be involved in inventory checks and general warehouse duties. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to all company safety policies. This position offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in the logistics field. Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs may be required. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and possesses excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and verify items for outgoing shipments.
- Package products securely and efficiently for transit.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with stock management.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE .
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Perform occasional manual lifting and moving of packages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and generating labels.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Capacity for occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
- Willingness to use all provided PPE .
- Basic understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
