We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator for our New York City, New York location. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods within the facility, and assisting with inventory management. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse Logistics , adherence to strict Safety protocols, and proficiency in operating various types of forklifts. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE and follow company procedures.
- Contribute to efficient Logistics operations by ensuring timely material movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Deep understanding of warehouse Logistics and operational flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace Safety .
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
