We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your work will directly support our logistics operations by providing accurate data for order fulfillment and supply chain management. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy are paramount. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to identify and resolve inventory issues. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on any shortages or overages.
- Identify and address potential issues that could affect inventory accuracy, such as damaged goods or misplacement.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and other warehouse departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure all materials are properly stored, identified, and organized.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Follow all guidelines regarding the use of appropriate PPE.
- This role may involve some lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
