Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Portland, Oregon? We are hiring skilled individuals to manage the movement of goods within our state-of-the-art logistics facility. This position is vital for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the safe handling of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated racks and locations.
- Pick and stage orders accurately for shipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Be aware of surroundings to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of others.
- Perform duties involving significant lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting and repetitive motion.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles is beneficial.
