We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage operations at our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. This key leadership role is integral to our logistics network, responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe flow of goods through the warehouse. You will supervise a team of warehouse staff, coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, manage inventory, and implement best practices in warehouse management. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain all warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies and government regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Generate reports on key warehouse metrics, such as productivity, inventory levels, and safety incidents.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall warehouse efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- A firm commitment to workplace safety and a track record of promoting a safety-conscious culture.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with shipping software and carrier relations is advantageous.
