Your primary duties will involve selecting items from inventory and carefully packaging them for shipment. This position is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through precise order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Package products securely to prevent damage during shipping, utilizing appropriate materials.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure all necessary documentation is attached.
- Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and order status.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work station and general warehouse area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting and stock put-away.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets while maintaining high quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any order discrepancies or operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picker/packer or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory procedures.
- Strong dedication to workplace safety and following all guidelines.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Must be able to remain active for extended periods, including standing, walking, and bending.
