We are looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is crucial to the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations, ensuring that products are processed, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a wide range of tasks, including receiving and inspecting goods, stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for delivery. You will operate various equipment, maintain accurate records, and ensure the overall organization and cleanliness of the facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock received inventory into designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare shipments for carriers, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the distribution center.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements for specific tasks.
- Engage in tasks involving the Lifting of items, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Support overall Logistics objectives through efficient task completion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills and experience with RF scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Willingness to follow instructions and procedures diligently.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is beneficial.
