We are hiring motivated Order Pickers to join our growing warehouse team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary duties will involve using handheld scanners or pick lists to locate and gather products, ensuring the correct quantity and item are selected, and staging picked items for packing and shipment. This position is crucial for the efficient processing of orders and maintaining customer satisfaction through accurate and timely fulfillment. The ideal candidate is energetic, possesses strong attention to detail, and can work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and a basic understanding of logistics are beneficial. Safety is paramount in our operations; therefore, strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is required. This role involves frequent movement and lifting of items. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Locate and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Stage picked items in the designated packing area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
