About
We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This position is key to our **Logistics** operations, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will work closely with the warehouse team to prepare orders for timely dispatch while maintaining a high standard of **Safety**.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy in items and quantities.
- Package goods securely and appropriately for transit.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and **Logistics** management regarding shipment status.
- Ensure all **Safety** procedures are followed in the shipping area, including the use of **PPE**.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed, which may involve **Lifting** up to 35 lbs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Understanding of shipping **Logistics** and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to wear necessary **PPE** such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving occasional **Lifting**.
