We are seeking motivated Picker/Packers to join our thriving warehouse in Durham, North Carolina! In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact customer satisfaction and our overall logistics success. This position requires a high degree of focus and the ability to work quickly and methodically. You will use handheld scanners to locate and retrieve products, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Once picked, you will carefully pack items, ensuring they are protected for transit and labeled correctly. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and returns. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a core expectation. This role involves continuous movement and moderate lifting throughout your shift. We pride ourselves on a safe and supportive atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using order lists or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order specifications for accuracy.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Meet daily picking and packing targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking or packing experience in a warehouse or distribution center is advantageous.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic inventory control principles.
- Commitment to safety in all aspects of the job.
