The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with various types of warehouse machinery (e.g., conveyors, balers, forklifts), and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE are non-negotiable. You will be involved in preventative maintenance programs designed to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity. Your ability to troubleshoot problems effectively and work independently or collaboratively is essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (conveyors, forklifts, etc.).
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Contribute to preventative maintenance programs.
- Support overall logistics and operational efficiency through reliable equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with logistics equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Must be reliable and safety-conscious.
- Proficiency in using PPE.
