We are looking for experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our busy distribution center in San Diego, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, unloading, and stacking materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent operational skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to support receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping operations. Your attention to detail will ensure that materials are handled correctly and damage-free. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are required to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this role. You will be a key player in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all guidelines for safe Lifting and material handling.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow in the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Good communication skills.
