We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Indianapolis, Indiana distribution center. This role is crucial for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to transport, load, and unload goods, as well as assisting with inventory management and maintaining a safe work environment.   • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, and other conveyances.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming inventory.
  • Perform inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Ensure all materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, essential for smooth logistics operations.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in team efforts to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
