Are you a proven leader in warehouse operations? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of daily warehouse activities, including managing staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and upholding stringent safety standards within our logistics operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for training and motivating a team, implementing operational improvements, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management and logistics. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment are essential. You will ensure that all team members adhere to safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and are equipped to handle the physical demands of the job, which may include lifting. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily warehouse operations and staff.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy and efficient stock rotation.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, to maintain a secure workplace.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency.
- Manage equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with management to set operational goals and achieve targets.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist with physical tasks including lifting and material handling when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting and physical labor.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
