About
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse operations in Richmond, Virginia. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a key role in the initial stage of our supply chain, accurately documenting and processing incoming shipments. This position requires a keen eye for detail to ensure all goods received match purchase orders and are free from damage. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory records and facilitating smooth transitions of goods into our logistics system. This role involves frequent interaction with delivery personnel and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify quantity and quality of goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Document all discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed for material movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
