We are looking for a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced logistics hub in Sacramento, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operations of our warehouse by ensuring materials are transported accurately and without damage. A strong emphasis on safety, precision, and adherence to operational procedures is paramount. The ideal candidate will possess a current forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move and stack products efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operation.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed, following safe Lifting guidelines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
