We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in Sacramento, California. As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse. This position involves performing a variety of tasks, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all warehouse machinery operates at peak performance. You will work closely with the operations team to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth flow of goods through the logistics network. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and implementing improvements to enhance overall warehouse functionality. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Operate various types of warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team in resolving operational challenges.
- Perform tasks requiring significant lifting and physical exertion.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical role within a warehouse or industrial setting. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Must be comfortable with physical demands, including frequent lifting and working in various conditions. Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace is paramount. Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
