Are you a skilled technician with a background in warehouse equipment and operations? Our Columbus, Ohio facility is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Technician to ensure the optimal performance and maintenance of our warehouse infrastructure and equipment. This crucial role supports our extensive logistics operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and automated storage units. A strong understanding of safety procedures and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are non-negotiable. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment, this is the ideal opportunity. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring all equipment meets regulatory standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensuring the proper functioning of our logistics support systems.
- Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and using appropriate PPE.
- Assisting with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Responding to emergency repair requests promptly.
- Working collaboratively with the warehouse operations team to minimize downtime.
We require candidates with a proven track record in equipment maintenance, ideally within a warehouse or logistics setting. Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical proficiency, and the ability to read technical manuals are essential. The ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs, may be necessary. Safety is paramount in this role.
