HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
$50,000 - $55,000
An entry-level Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operational programs and learning administration. This role will manage Workday Learning, coordinate new-hire activities, process onboarding actions, support external training administration, administer car allowance policy and documentation, maintain personnel files, prepare new-hire welcome packages, and assist with the Service Award program. Our ideal candidate have an undergraduate degree in Human Resources and is working toward CHRP designation. No prior experience required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System in Workday (course creation, enrolments, completions, reporting).
- Support learning program rollout, user support, and data integrity for mandatory and elective training.
- New hire administration, including end-to-end onboarding with hiring managers.
- Facilitation of university and collage job fairs.
- Prepare and distribute welcome packages and orientation materials.
- Register employees for external courses, conferences, and certification programs.
- Coordinate approvals, invoicing details, and travel/course logistics as needed.
- Administer car allowance program: collect required documentation, maintain records, and support reconciliation.
- Manage the Service Award program: track eligibility, prepare award materials, and assist with program events.
- Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files (electronic and/or physical) in accordance with record-retention and privacy requirements.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc HR reports from Workday and other systems.
- Ensure HR processes comply with company policies and applicable legislation.
- Support audits and internal requests for employee documentation.
- Serve as a primary contact for routine HR inquiries from employees and managers.
- Contribute to process improvements and HR projects as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- In-person collaboration required (WFH not available).
- Office environment; occasional extended screen time.
- May require occasional after-hours work for events or deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Human Resources (required).
- Actively working toward CHRP designation (required).
- Entry-level; professional HR experience not required.
- Technical: Familiarity with HRIS concepts; basic proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Workday is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Customer-service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with managers and employees.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
