As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and support our production facility.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the day-to-day maintenance operations of the plant, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues in collaboration with technicians and production teams.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to maintenance staff.
- Work collaboratively with production supervisors and management to support operational goals.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a unionized environment, preferably in food manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and/or automation systems.
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Proven track record of implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards.
- Millwright, Electrician, or related trade certification considered an asset.
