Would you like to make a difference in the environment by contributing to the decommissioning of the Gentilly-1 Waste Facility? Do you have experience supporting project leaders with tasks such as statement of work preparation, reviewing drawings, and overseeing work control packages? Can you see yourself providing technical expertise and oversight to staff and contractors during decommissioning field activities at Gentilly-1? If you answered yes, this could be the job for you! Apply today! What Will You Be Doing! Providing technical support during the design, work package preparation, and decommissioning field work required to decommission the Douglas Point Waste Facility. Performing timely reviews of submitted drawings and documentation during all phases of the project. Performing engineering surveillance of contractor activities, both at Douglas Point and contractor facilities. Providing CNL and HQ sponsoring of contractor personnel accessing the site. Performing oversight of contractors and ensuring the safe execution of field work activities. Responding to queries relating to logistics, CNL compliance programs, and CNL procedures. Providing technical assistance to the Project Manager and other project team members. Preparing, reviewing, and issuing, as appropriate, technical notes, reports, memos, plans, or other documents. Assisting in developing project schedules, budgets, and work packages. Interfacing with stakeholders and participants to ensure technical work is coordinated to meet requirements. Ensuring deliverables meet requirements and are completed on time and within budget. Traveling as required to external supplier facilities for meetings, surveillance, or other activities. Being available for work during off hours as required to meet project requirements. Other duties as assigned by your manager. What We Are Looking For! EducationA Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Engineering from a university of recognized standing.A membership in an engineering professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization is considered an asset. ExperienceFive (5) or more years’ experience within the nuclear industry, ideally in work associated with the waste management, decommissioning, and/or processing systems.Experience in dealing with engineering and construction contractors. Location : CNL’s Gentilly-1 Prototype Reactor (shut down and partially decommissioned) is located on the Gentilly Nuclear Generating Station site on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in Bécancour, Quebec, 100 km northeast of Montreal.
