We are seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to support a growing transportation manufacturing organization. This person will lead our HR initiatives and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR program management while ensuring compliance with employment laws, and safety legislation. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, including change management initiatives.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts through effective recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Manage employee relations by addressing workplace issues, facilitating conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Oversee HR programs related to training & development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Administer payroll documentation and processes to ensure accurate, timely compensation, while tracking and reconciling employee time and attendance records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies through regular audits and updates.
- Deliver workforce reporting and insights that enable informed, data-driven organizational decision-making.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize HR workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the Health & Safety program, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies, overseeing workplace inspections, incident investigations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on HR metrics and initiatives to senior leadership.
- Manage budgets related to HR activities and training programs.
Skills
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
- Three to five (3-5) years of progressive experience as an HR Leader and minimum eight (8) years of Human Resources experience. Manufacturing experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Expertise in data analysis skills for workforce planning and decision support.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong background in health and safety legislation in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of training and development practices along with budgeting capabilities for HR initiatives.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- Required to be on-site 5 days per week.
