We are currently seeking Aircraft Assemblers to join our growing team in Victoria, BC. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy hands-on work, and are eager to build a career in aerospace manufacturing, we want to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine assembly requirements
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal components according to specifications
- Assemble sheet metal parts into sub-assemblies and final assemblies while maintaining strict quality standards
- Conduct detailed inspections of assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with aerospace standards
- Use precision measuring instruments to confirm dimensions and tolerances, making adjustments as needed
- Safely handle, store, and organize sheet metal materials to maintain inventory and workflow
- Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to ensure components integrate correctly into larger assemblies
- Follow all company safety protocols and contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Technical or trades training/certifications are considered an asset
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, construction, or warehousing is an asset
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and sheet-metal-related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety procedures
- Must have and maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada
