We are currently seeking a Project Planner to join our team in Toronto or Montreal, Canada . This role plays a key part in planning and scheduling multi-disciplinary EPCM projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and project delivery targets across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.


Responsibilities


Technical Expertise

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (Level 3/4/5) using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Facilitate Enhanced Systematic Planning (ESP) sessions with the project team.
  • Load resource plans and create S-curves for performance tracking.
  • Monitor actual progress vs. baseline schedules and provide regular updates.
  • Perform delay analyses, assess change impacts, and prepare recovery plans.
  • Support engineering and procurement teams with planning-related inputs.
  • Prepare project dashboards and reporting in line with DRA standards.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable project data and schedule records.
  • Assist with development of POP (Procurement Operating Plan).
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to align plans with overall project timelines.


Project & Operational Support

  • Attend kick-off meetings, project reviews, and site visits.
  • Participate in the development of WBS (Work Breakdown Structures).
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly project status reports.
  • Support the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager with time-sensitive deliverables.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Ensure clear, professional communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep all parties informed on key project schedule updates and challenges.
  • Represent DRA as a trusted engineering service provider in client-facing settings.
  • Maintain a positive, professional image throughout all project phases.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • 6+ years of project planning experience in a multi-disciplinary EPCM environment
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with all phases of engineering, procurement, and construction delivery


Preferred:

  • Technical or engineering diploma or degree
  • InEight Schedule experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Intermediate French language proficiency
  • Full MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) at intermediate level or higher
  • Previous experience on mining or heavy industrial projects

Our competitive compensation package has been designed to reward our employees’ skills, competencies and performance that align with our culture. The compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. DRA offers a hybrid work policy, excellent health and dental benefits including an HSA, RRSP matching, employee recognition programs, and plenty of opportunities to build genuine relationships.
