Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Our client is a well-established Canadian law firm seeking a Senior Law Clerk to support a busy practice group in a hybrid capacity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can manage complex files, handle competing deadlines, and work confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain corporate records and minute books (physical and electronic).
  • Prepare, review, and file corporate documentation (e.g., incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, reorganizations).
  • Draft routine and complex legal documents, resolutions, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate filings and registrations with applicable regulatory bodies and online portals.
  • Conduct due diligence searches and assist with transactions (as required), including document compilation and closing support.
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and government offices regarding corporate filings and related requests.
  • Track deadlines, ensure compliance requirements are met, and maintain accurate file organization and documentation.
  • Support lawyers with administrative and practice-related tasks to keep matters moving efficiently.


Skills and Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years (or equivalent) of progressive experience as a Corporate/Commercial Law Clerk (senior-level exposure preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and corporate registry/filing systems.
  • Organization: Highly detail-oriented with strong file management, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communication with confidence working across multiple stakeholders.
  • Education: Law Clerk diploma or equivalent related education/experience.
