About
We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, correctly labeling packages, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will ensure that all shipments meet company and carrier requirements, contributing to the overall success of our distribution operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and Logistics is beneficial. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and you will be expected to follow all Safety guidelines and utilize provided PPE. Some tasks may involve moderate Lifting of packages.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately document and prepare all outgoing shipments.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and methods for various products.
- Apply correct shipping labels and tracking information.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Use required PPE during all shipping operations.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related role is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting of packages.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Commitment to Safety and workplace standards.
