In this role, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all orders are packed, labeled, and dispatched correctly. Your attention to detail is vital to maintaining our reputation for timely and accurate deliveries. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and carriers to streamline the shipping process. Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing orders securely.
- Verify shipping information against order details.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate carrier pickups.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Maintain accurate shipping records.
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse operations and logistics tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, and moving packages, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the appropriate use of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
