About
Our Atlanta, Georgia location is seeking a proactive Shipping Clerk to manage outbound logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all shipments are accurately documented, prepared, and dispatched in a timely manner. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate shipping methods, preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipment records. A strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and Safety is paramount. If you are a detail-oriented individual with experience in shipping or logistics, we want to hear from you. This is a vital position for maintaining our supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order information against shipping documentation.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure proper package labeling.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers and track shipments.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Communicate shipment status updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean shipping area.
- Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics operations.
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a shipping clerk role or similar is preferred. Proficient in using shipping software and basic computer skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Capable of moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting (up to 40 lbs). Excellent attention to detail. Solid understanding of warehouse Safety protocols. Must be reliable and able to work independently. Knowledge of PPE. Essential for our outbound logistics.
