About
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, correctly documented, and prepared for timely dispatch. You will play a key part in our logistics operations, coordinating with various departments to manage the shipping process efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation for outgoing orders.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before they are packed and shipped.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accordingly.
- Ensure that packages are properly labeled, secured, and meet carrier requirements.
- Communicate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, customer service) regarding shipping status and issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed, ensuring safe handling of goods.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in the shipping process.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics/warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability for moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) as required.
- Understanding of shipping logistics and carrier procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE guidelines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
