About
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct evaluations and assessments of students to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services.
* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (as part of the IEP/504 process) to support students' academic and functional needs.
* Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other service providers to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines and learning environments.
* Provide direct therapy services individually or in small groups based on students' needs.
* Recommend and assist with the implementation of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, or classroom modifications.
* Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress reports, and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
* Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
* Provide consultation and training to staff and families to support students’ occupational performance.
* Promote safe, accessible, and developmentally appropriate environments throughout the school.
* Stay current on best practices, licensure requirements, and continuing education in the field of pediatric and school-based occupational therapy.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $63.00 - $76.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 28 per week
License/Certification:
* NMPED License (Required)
* OT License (Required)
