Charlotte, NC Premier Inc. seeks an experienced Software Architect to lead the design, development, and adoption of high?level solutions across our healthcare and IT services portfolio. The role is full?time, 40 hours per week, available for tele?commuting and requires permanent authorization to work in the U.S. Responsibilities
Lead software and solution design for stories of any complexity, including delivery of advanced features. Craft current and future?state high?level system designs and actively contribute to solution?design discussions. Influence business and product strategy; participate in POC initiatives and drive process/technical improvements. Assess emerging technologies and evaluate business/technical partners. Mentor and coach team members, improving technical skills and facilitating cross?team coordination. Conduct technical skill assessments for less senior staff and communicate findings to supervisors. Bring contemporary technologies into best practices, serving as SME for multiple Premier products or domains (minimum three). Create guidelines for technology implementation, ensuring adherence across technology teams. Serve as technical liaison during sales engagements, leading demos, retrospectives, and showcases. Required Experience and Skills
bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. minimum 10 years of experience implementing solutions using C#, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, and SQL databases (SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL). proficiency with authentication mechanisms: Azure B2B/B2C, SAML, OpenID. experience documenting and testing solutions to ensure high quality. building real?time dashboards from large data sets using Power BI. integrating systems via proprietary APIs or RESTful APIs (including on?prem and cloud components such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, AWS, custom PowerPlatform). installing and configuring servers, gateways, databases, and components that support software development. deployment of releases, automation of deployments, and Agile/Scrum methodology. design and support multiple business areas and priorities based on ROI. conducting technical workshops and change?management activities with stakeholders. minimum 8 years of experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages) and Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Service Bus). guiding development teams, ensuring scalability, extensibility, and security in all designs. creating enterprise?class designs for critical corporate functions, configuring M365 tenants, migrating SharePoint on?prem to cloud. administering Azure AD for user authentication and access management. designing REST?based APIs and mobile?app services using AWS cloud architecture.
