About
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care in a friendly and professional environment.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
* Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
* Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary support.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
* Utilize dental software systems , we use Open Dental for patient management.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
* Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
* Experience with medical coding and billing processes is a plus.
* Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry.
* Strong understanding of aseptic technique to maintain infection control standards.
* Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, but New grads are welcome
* Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care.
