*JOB SUMMARY*
The Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, stability, and security of the credit union’s network and endpoint environment. This role works closely with the Director of IT to support and execute the organization’s technology strategy, with a primary focus on networking, Group Policy management, and ownership of the Help Desk function.
The Network Administrator serves as the technical lead for network operations and Help Desk oversight, ensuring reliable connectivity, secure access, timely issue resolution, and consistent service delivery across all locations. This position also plays a key role in coordinating with vendors, supporting projects, and maintaining documentation in support of regulatory and operational requirements common to financial institutions.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
*1. *Design, configure, maintain, and support the credit union’s LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and internet connectivity.
*2. *Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure high uptime, reliability, and security.
*3. *Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including connectivity, performance, and access concerns.
*4. *Implement and maintain network security controls, policies, and procedures in alignment with credit union standards and regulatory expectations.
*5. *Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation related to network services.
*Group Policy & Endpoint Management*
*6. *Develop, maintain, and support Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security standards, configurations, and operational consistency.
*7. *Assist with endpoint configuration and access controls to support a secure and reliable user environment.
*8. *Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure policies align with operational needs and compliance requirements.
*Help Desk Ownership & Oversight*
*9. *Own and manage the Help Desk function, ensuring timely response and resolution of user issues.
*10. *Oversee and mentor the Help Desk Technician, providing technical guidance, prioritization, and escalation support.
*11. *Ensure tickets are properly documented, updated, and resolved within established service level agreements (SLAs).
*12. *Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to systems, processes, or training to reduce incidents.
*Projects, Vendors & Collaboration*
*13. *Support IT projects related to networking, infrastructure, and user services, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
*14. *Follow up with vendors on issues, outages, quotes, and project deliverables as directed by the Director of IT.
*15. *Collaborate with IT staff and management to integrate network and infrastructure solutions across the organization.
*16. *Maintain clear and accurate documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, inventories, and procedures.
*Other Duties*
*17. *Direct and participate in special projects as assigned.
*18. *Perform related duties as required to support IT operations and organizational goals.
*19. *Performs other duties as assigned.
*Community involvement: *
· Paid Volunteer Hours- Each eligible employee is required to have 3 hours within the current Annual Performance Review cycle. These can either be 3 concurrent hours or nonconcurrent.
· Unpaid Volunteer Hours- As a qualifier for the balance scorecard profit-sharing plan employees will need to complete 3 volunteer hours unpaid per year for the balance scorecard.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*

*Education and/or Experience*
*1. *Five to eight years of related experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or a similar role.
*2. *Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and industry-recognized certifications.
*3. *Experience in a financial institution or regulated environment is preferred.

*Physical Demands*
*1. *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $70,720.00 per year
