Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our operations in Durham, North Carolina. This position is vital for managing the accurate intake and processing of all incoming goods, ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our **logistics** operations. You will be responsible for verifying shipments, documenting receipts, and ensuring materials are correctly stored. A strong focus on **safety** and accuracy is essential in this role. We are dedicated to creating a secure and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Compare received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Accurately record all incoming inventory into the warehouse management system.
  • Tag and label items appropriately for internal tracking.
  • Stage goods for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and **safety**-compliant receiving area.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required).
  • Wear and maintain all required **PPE** and strictly follow **safety** procedures.
  • Assist with **lifting** and moving of incoming items as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehouse receiving or inventory control is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using computers and basic inventory software.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse **safety** regulations and the proper use of **PPE**.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to **safety** is a must.
