Seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are handled, stored, and moved correctly. You will be responsible for tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, transporting goods within the facility using pallet jacks or other equipment, and maintaining organized stock areas. A commitment to Safety is paramount, requiring strict adherence to all company policies and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform regular Lifting of materials. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure smooth logistics flow and accurate inventory management. We are looking for reliable individuals who are eager to contribute to a productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials to and from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Verify incoming shipments against documentation.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and protocols.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Support the overall logistics and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Team-oriented and reliable.
