We are hiring a Picker/Packer to join our distribution center in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and efficiently packing them for shipment. This position is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and in excellent condition. You will utilize scanning technology to manage inventory and track order progress. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the overall success of our fulfillment process. We strongly emphasize workplace safety, and all team members must wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Pick items accurately from warehouse locations based on order specifications using RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, selecting suitable packaging materials.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of inventory as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity standards for picking and packing.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and scanning devices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workspace.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
