Join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a Material Handler. This role is essential for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and arranging stock. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse. The Material Handler plays a vital role in our overall logistics operation, contributing to accurate inventory placement and timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed, assisting with loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining the organization of warehouse space. Experience with different types of warehouse equipment is advantageous. A commitment to adhering to strict safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs and operating equipment for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and to production or shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Keep warehouse work areas clean and orderly.
- Inspect equipment before and after use.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
