We're hiring a motivated Material Handler for our St. Louis, Missouri location! Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Sort and organize materials for proper storage or distribution.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes.
- Ensure materials are staged correctly for shipping.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar manual labor role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and other physical tasks.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (certification may be required/provided).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
- Commitment to following all logistics and safety regulations.
