About
Our New York City, New York location is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials within our warehouse. Your expertise will be crucial for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage, and assisting with order fulfillment. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations is paramount. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator to contribute to our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage materials safely and securely.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and free of obstructions.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and safe material handling.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
