About
We are seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics facility in St. Louis, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. Your primary duties will include receiving goods, transporting them to designated storage areas, and retrieving items for outgoing shipments. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision, vigilance, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety practices. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations. Regular inspection and basic maintenance of the forklift equipment will be part of your responsibilities. The ability to maintain accurate records of movements and inventory is also important. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of safe operation and a commitment to excellence. Experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, is highly desirable. The physical demands include regular operation of the forklift, getting on and off, and occasional manual handling of materials. Your role is vital in keeping our supply chain moving efficiently. - Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including wearing required PPE.
- Follow all logistics procedures for material handling and storage.
