Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspecting forklifts before and after each shift to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Transporting raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Verifying the accuracy of shipments, ensuring correct items and quantities are moved.
- Adhering strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways and safe storage of materials.
- Assisting with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Following all regulations related to Lifting and safe material handling.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and adherence to all rules and regulations.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
