Join our vital logistics team as a Material Handler in sunny San Diego, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring that materials are readily available for production or order fulfillment. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is paramount, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. This includes the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and employing safe lifting techniques. This position requires the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 60 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using forklifts or other equipment.
- Organize and stack materials in an orderly and safe manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and competently.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervision.
- Perform manual material handling, including frequent lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proven ability for frequent lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
