About
We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in our Kansas City, Missouri facility. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of our warehouse logistics, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely throughout the facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport, store, and retrieve goods. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accurate inventory tracking, and efficient workflow management. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including substantial lifting, is essential for this role. A commitment to following all safety procedures and wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious individual with experience in material handling and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
