We are looking for a skilled and certified Reach Truck Operator to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within our warehouse. Your expertise will be critical to maintaining organized storage, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and supporting overall logistics operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to operate specialized equipment. You will be expected to perform daily pre-operation checks on your reach truck and adhere to all company guidelines regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant time operating machinery and may require moderate to heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs, when moving items not on pallets. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve pallets of merchandise.
- Safely load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage locations.
- Perform daily inspections of reach truck equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Ensure accurate placement and tracking of inventory using scanning devices.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and protocols.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting and order picking.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear required PPE consistently.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
