We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for our bustling Los Angeles, California facility. In this leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and a safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, optimizing inventory control, and implementing best practices in logistics. You will be responsible for enforcing safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and conducting regular safety training. This role requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. The ability to manage resources effectively and motivate a team is crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Coordinate and oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Monitor and maintain operational KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure proper use of resources.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for staff.
- Facilitate effective communication between shifts and departments within the logistics network.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics principles. Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in implementing safety programs, including the use of PPE. Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capacity for Lifting and performing other physical tasks as needed. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours as operational demands require.
