We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and ensuring our inventory management system is up-to-date and precise. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, providing essential data for purchasing, sales, and operational planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a keen eye for detail. You will work within a dynamic warehouse environment, requiring you to be proactive in identifying and resolving inventory issues. Accurate record-keeping and a commitment to following established procedures are essential. Physical stamina is necessary as the role may involve some moderate Lifting and requires moving around the warehouse frequently. Adherence to all Safety protocols and the consistent use of required PPE are mandatory to ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and report on low stock or overstock situations.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper item identification.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and PPE usage.
- Support logistics team with inventory-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper PPE use.
