We are seeking a capable Material Handler to join our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is essential for the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of goods. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety** and accuracy in all tasks performed within this **logistics** environment. We are committed to providing a secure and productive workplace. Your contribution will help ensure operational efficiency and inventory integrity. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory control, including counting, verifying, and updating stock levels.
- Ensure materials are stored properly and securely, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all **safety** guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or **safety** hazards.
- Participate in **lifting** and moving heavy items, adhering to safe **lifting** techniques.
- Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts is a significant plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant **lifting** (up to 60 lbs).
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse **safety** practices and the correct use of **PPE**.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of **safety** is expected.
