About
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize loss and optimize stock rotation. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and Logistics best practices. A commitment to maintaining a safe and organized environment is essential. Your role is vital in ensuring our inventory data is precise, supporting efficient operations and accurate order fulfillment. Adherence to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE are expected.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and advise on reorder points and stock rotation.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Manage the return process, including inspection and restocking of returned items.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE .
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs). Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with Logistics operations. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
