Join our bustling warehouse in San Francisco, California, as a Picker/Packer! This dynamic role is at the heart of our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are assembled accurately and prepared for shipment with speed and precision. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, picking them according to order specifications, and then carefully packing them for delivery. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses a strong commitment to quality and safety. Experience with RF scanners and an understanding of logistics operations are highly desirable. You’ll be an integral part of a team focused on efficiency and customer satisfaction. Proper use of PPE and adherence to safe lifting practices are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or electronic devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Stage packed orders for pickup by carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to management.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
